Everyone holds multiple and complex identities and histories of resilience. I co-build an understanding of who you are and where you’d like to be as a whole person within many systems of norms, expectations, and systemic injustices. I believe that a trust in each clients’ inherent power to heal themselves is a cornerstone to addressing oppression within our relationship.
Our bodies can hold our histories and emotions, as well as our solutions. I root my practice in the neurophysiology of stress and trauma while centering your own expertise. I partner with clients to cultivate cognitive tools, along with somatic, body-based tools to cope and find new responses to present challenges.
My work’s privilege is to be entrusted with your story, and it’s greatest joy is to find authentic connection and mutuality. With warmth and acceptance, I work to unlock client’s connection to and trust in their strengths, wisdom, survival mechanisms and creativity. I attend to your safety and needs throughout our relationship to facilitate this growth.
In addition to my training in third-wave CBT approaches, I am also certified in the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method and Trauma-Focused CBT.
